Default Router Problem

I've have a problem with my router - Netgear - 54 MBPS Wirelss Router - Model Number WGR614.

The computer that the router is hooked up to is using Windows XP.

My wireless network was working but suddenly stopped.'ve updated the firmware on the router, but that doesn't help...My laptop shows my network, and can connect to it, but no internet..

When you take the cable from the modem (not the wireless router) and plug it directly into your computer are you able to get the internet? If no internet then call your ISP. If you have internet then try doing a reset of the router, if that doesn't work contact Netgear and have them walk you through a full set up. If that doesn't work then you will need a new router.

I just had to replace mine for a similiar problem.

I had a linksys and always had some type of issue but everything has been great since I switched to a Netgear router. Good Luck.

It's always possible that the wireless part of the router is broken.
